On August 26, 2013, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the Philadelphia Safety Collaborative. This newly, co-located site through a collaboration of the Philadelphia Police Dept. Special Victims Unit, DHS Sexual Abuse Investigation Unit and Philadelphia Children's Alliance and staff from the District Attorney's Office. The facility will integrate response services for victims of sexual abuse and will accommodate a staff of 120 full time and part time personnel representing the medical/health community,, a network of social services and the Philadelphia Police Department.
